Pluto in Capricorn and Neptune in Pisces- The Awakening
Pluto and Neptune have effects on the people born during their passages through the signs, but they also have effects on the world during their journeys. Pluto transforms things ruled by its current sign during its passage. Pluto in Libra transformed marriage by allowing easier divorces, Pluto in Scorpio transformed sex through HIV and AIDS, making people be more responsible when having sex, and Pluto in Sagittarius transformed travel with 9/11, making long distance travel more difficult through increased security, as well as religion through the peak of the religious right movement. Neptune's influence on the world is through culture. Neptune in Scorpio was sex, drugs, and rock and roll, Neptune in Sagittarius was a fun-loving culture, though it was also the birth of religious fundamentalism, Neptune in Capricorn was overall conservatism, and Neptune in Aquarius was the mainstreaming of the internet and the birth of reality TV and social networking (Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, and Youtube were all created during Pluto Sagittarius/Neptune Aquarius). Pluto in Capricorn signals the transformation of power structures, such as government, religion, education, big business, and money, whereas Neptune in Pisces signifies a more spiritual culture. It is no accident that meditation, chakra, and natural healing are becoming more mainstream, and it is no accident that many banks collapsed in 2008, as well as the housing bubble (classic Pluto in Capricorn bringing the housing market back to reality from the Pluto in Sagittarius expansion) and that stocks plunged this year. The legalization of gay marriage can also be linked to Pluto in Capricorn, as it is the transformation of a social structure, as well as the Affordable Care Act, as it is a transformation of health care. There is still a lot more to transform as we are barely halfway through the Pluto in Capricorn transit. The Pluto and Neptune transits right now, joined together, mean that people are waking up to the reality that these power structures are in place to keep humanity at a low vibration and at a focus on materialism (Capricorn) rather than the stuff that truly matters when you cross over, such as spiritual growth (Pisces). Everything that goes on in the world is linked to a specific astrological transit, and the current spiritual culture and transformation of existing power structures is no exception.
