Astrological Generations

This post is based off a very interesting link I found:

http://canaryquillastrology.tumblr.com/post/127363994569/pluto-generations

This isn't bad, though the placement of Neptune is just as big of a factor in astrological generation boundaries as the placement of Pluto is (for example, Pluto Cancer/Neptune Leo is MUCH different than Pluto Cancer/Neptune Virgo).

1901-1914- Lost Generation (Pluto Gemini/Neptune Cancer) These were the people who came of age during the roaring 20s. This generation has a very intelligent and idealistic look with a "homey" vibe. This generation experiences power and transformation through ideas, communication, and telepathy while idealizing home, family, and patriotism.

1914-1929- Greatest Generation/GI Generation (Pluto Cancer/Neptune Leo) These were the people who came of age during the Great Depression and fought World War II (along with some Pluto Geminis but they were getting into their 30s at that point). This generation has a very "homey" look, with a warm vibe (Neptune in Leo). This generation experienced power and transformation through home, family, and patriotism while idealizing entertainment and creativity.

1928-1939- Silent Generation (Pluto Cancer/Neptune Virgo) These were the people born during the Great Depression. Unlike the GI Generation, this generation has a more serious look to their Pluto in Cancer "homey" look, which Neptune in Virgo provides. Neptune in Virgo gives off an analytical vibe to the appearance. To notice the difference, look at Bob Barker, Monty Hall, Ed McMahon, Hugh Hefner, Betty White, Bea Arthur, Chick Hearn, Tommy Lasorda, Vin Scully, Jack Lemmon, and Walter Matthau and compare to Pat Robertson, Paul and Jan Crouch, Kenneth Copeland, John McCain, Ron Paul, Warren Buffett, George Soros, Dave Thomas, and Donald Sterling. This generation experiences power and transformation through home, family, and patriotism while idealizing health, work, and service.

1937-1943- War Babies (Pluto Leo/Neptune Virgo) This is a small generation that was born during World War II. While being Pluto in Leo, this is MUCH different than the baby boomers, as Pluto in Leo/Neptune in Virgo produces a very authoritarian (similar to the Silent Generation but anything but "homey") look compared to the warm and harmonious look of the baby boomers with Neptune in Libra. To give an idea, Harry Reid, Mitch McConnell, Nancy Pelosi, Newt Gingrich, Bernie Sanders, Barney Frank, Maxine Waters, Barbara Boxer, Martha Stewart, Alex Trebek, Chuck Norris, Ted Turner, and Barbra Streisand are from this small generation. This generation experiences power and transformation through entertainment and creativity while idealizing health, work, and service.

1942-1957- Baby Boomers (Pluto Leo/Neptune Libra) This is the generation known as the "flower children" who protested the Vietnam War and started the hippie movement.  This generation experiences power and transformation through entertainment and creativity while idealizing relationships, harmony, and diplomacy. This generation has a very warm look with a harmonious and diplomatic vibe.

1956-1970- Late Boomers (Pluto Virgo/Neptune Scorpio) These people were born at the tail end of the baby boom and the years after it. This generation experiences power and transformation through health, work, and service while idealizing sex, the occult, taboos (this is the generation that grew up on heavy metal and grunge, and thus started the trend of tattoos and piercings becoming more mainstream, which is being finalized with Pluto in Scorpio. A great example of how Neptune and Pluto work together in a sextile), and intimate connection. This generation has a very serious and analytical look with an intense vibe, unlike their Pluto in Leo counterparts.

1971-1984- Generation X (Pluto Libra/Neptune Sagittarius) This generation experiences power and transformation through relationships, harmony, and diplomacy while idealizing travel, philosophy, religion, and higher education. This generation has a very harmonious and diplomatic look, while giving off a free and tolerant vibe (Neptune in Sagittarius).

1984-1995- Millennials/Generation Y (Pluto Scorpio/Neptune Capricorn) This generation came of age during the Bush years and the Great Recession. They experience power and transformation through sex, the occult, and banishing taboos while idealizing efficient power structures (no coincidence this generation is coming of age when the 1% has over $110 trillion of the world's wealth!). This generation has an intense and intuitive look while giving off a serious and unemotional vibe (Neptune in Capricorn)

1998-2008- Generation Z (Pluto Sagittarius/Neptune Aquarius) This generation will come of age in the 2020s. They will experience power and transformation through travel, philosophy, religion, and higher education while idealizing technological advancements, brotherhood, and oneness amongst everyone. This generation has a free and tolerant look while giving off an indifferent vibe.

2008-2012- Recession Babies (Pluto Capricorn/Neptune Aquarius) This small generation was born during the Great Recession. They will experience power and transformation through power structures and overall order while idealizing technological advancements, brotherhood, and oneness amongst everyone. These people are still children so their look isn't fully developed yet.

2011-2024- Awakening Generation (Pluto Capricorn/Neptune Pisces) This generation is being born right now, during the spiritual awakening period. They will experience power and transformation through power structures and overall order while idealizing spirituality, compassion, and natural healing. These people are still children so their look isn't fully developed yet.

Specific dates for the Pluto and Neptune generations are listed here:

There are quite a few "cusp" generations not listed here, where the people in them could justifiably be a member of BOTH generations they're between (Pluto Cancer/Neptune Cancer, Pluto Leo/Neptune Scorpio, Pluto Virgo/Neptune Sagittarius, Pluto Libra/Neptune Capricorn, Pluto Scorpio/Neptune Sagittarius, Pluto Sagittarius/Neptune Capricorn, etc.). Another way to find someone's Pluto/Neptune generation is to look at femininity vs. masculinity. Pluto and Neptune in feminine signs (the water and earth signs... Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces, Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn) bring more femininity to the appearance, while Pluto and Neptune in masculine signs (the fire and air signs... Aries, Leo, Sagittarius, Gemini, Libra, Aquarius) bring more masculinity to the appearance. This does not effect attractiveness as Pluto and Neptune's effects on facial appearance are VERY subtle unless you have a trained eye. If you've ever wondered why people born in certain time periods all have similarities in regards to how they act, it's all written in the stars.
